Neo's Home Page

Last revised 5/21/2008

If you're here to read my story about my fight against the heart defect PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus), click here.  It's the story that has given hope to several doggie PDA patients and their humans across the nation, including Travis & Teddy Bear.  Read about their stories, too!

Welcome to my little piece of the Web, courtesy of Robert & Anna Martinez in central California.  Be patient with the pictures within this site; this cute blue merle Aussie Shepherd puppy dog is worth the wait!

OK, so it's been almost a year since I last updated my page. What can I say? How can I spend time online when I have such a great 3-year-old girl nearby to throw frisbees for me and chase me around the house?

All right, but it's not all fun and games for me. As you can see, Zara gets quite a kick out of dressing me up. Someone did tell her I am a MALE, right?

Humiliating, yes. But, I grin and bear it, as you can see. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays (mainly because it always involves a long walk around our neighborhood where I get lots of attention from trick-or-treaters!), and this past Halloween, I was a ghost. I was really excited about it until I realized my face would be partially covered in the costume.

I lasted about five minutes in it, then Robert and Anna simply decided to drape me in a sheet, attach it to my collar, and call me Obi-wan Kenobi (whoever that is). Oh, well...I still got to go on a walk!

Perhaps the most interesting event in my life these past few months was my encounter with a neighborhood skunk. I learned a lot from this incident. Ever been sprayed by a skunk? Did you know that up close, it smells like burning rubber? Well, I do. I also know (NOW!) not to bother those black and white "kitties" anymore. I also know that it is no fun not to be allowed in the house for two days. I ALSO know that a bath in tomato juice is truly no fun at all. I don't think the skunk learned anything. Anna thinks he's still living under a table in her garden.

Such is my life lately. Still lazy, still posh, still loving every moment in the good ol' Martinez household. AND, the big news is that I'm awaiting another little one in the Martinez house this year. Robert and Anna's new baby will arrive at the end of April. And, guess what -- it's another cute little GIRL!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and have a great 2007! Thanks again for stopping by.  If you'd like, you can sign my guestbook, or you can just look at it to see who has signed it so far.
